Charge Nurse Behavioral Health

In Behavioral Health Inpatient at Main Campus Dearth Tower Work schedule will be Full-time on the Evening Night Shift, 7p-7a. Summary Responsible for the assessment, coordination, implementation, and evaluation of the delivery of patient care on the assigned shift. Supervises and evaluates work performance in accordance with established criteria-based standards of performance. Responsible for the coordination of clinical operations. Other information Education Requires a minimum of a bachelor's degree in nursing, which must be achieved within three years of starting the role. An Associate's degree RN currently in the role may be grandfathered in. Experience Bachelors in nursing or related field with 2 years or more of clinical nursing experience preferred including 1 year of recent pediatric/psych/OR nursing experience preferred. Licensures, Certifications, and/or Registries Current RN License in the State of Alabama. Current BLS certification. Credentials with Equivalent Qualifications (Essential) Basic Life Support Registered Nurse AL Single State or any of the following equivalent qualifications below: Registered Nurse AL NLC Multi State Registered Nurse Non-AL NLC Multi State Education with Equivalent Qualifications (Essential) Bachelor of Science Nursing in Nursing Experience with Equivalent Qualifications (Nonessential) 2 Years job experience as Staff Level with specialization in the field of Nursing Acute The Inpatient Behavioral Health Unit is comprised of 44 beds and provides a therapeutic, engaging environment for children ages 4 to 18. The Behavioral Health Inpatient Unit is a rewarding place to work where our care team makes an impact on children’s lives with every interaction. Along with psychiatrists, therapists, and nurse practitioners, we are involved in the day to-day care and decision making that helps kids and families live their best lives. We work hands-on with children of all ages who are struggling with depression, anxiety, suicide, self-control, and trauma. We teach them new emotional and behavioral skills in a fun and interactive way. Our patients need to know that someone cares and can help keep them safe.
