About the Role

The Company is seeking a Vice President of Accounting to join their team. This executive leadership role is pivotal in overseeing all accounting functions, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and maintaining regulatory compliance. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading all accounting operations, including financial reporting and general ledger activities, and will be expected to drive efficiencies through process improvement and automation. Key responsibilities also include preparing and presenting financial statements, key performance metrics, and financial trends to executive leadership, as well as developing recommendations that support sound financial management and organizational performance. Applicants for the Vice President of Accounting position at the company should have a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, and a CPA designation or equivalent professional accounting credential. A minimum of 10 years' progressive accounting leadership experience within a financial institution, with a preference for those with a background in credit unions or community banks, is required. The role demands a strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and internal controls, as well as experience in managing external audits and regulatory examinations. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in developing high-performing accounting teams, possess strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills, and be adept at influencing executive leadership. Experience with financial reporting systems, process automation, and data analytics is also preferred.
