Patient Services Specialist

Overview Description Patient Services Specialist at Healdsburg Hospital. This position is Per Diem and will work 8-hour Evening Shifts. Responsibilities Greet and register patients; gather appropriate demographic and insurance information; schedule appointments, laboratory tests, and ancillary services; and collect co-payments. Understand the ramification and impact of incomplete or inaccurate information on revenue cycle. Refer patients/families as necessary to Financial Resources. Float to other areas within the facility to assist with patient flow. Strive to minimize patient arrival to treatment area time and improve customer satisfaction related to the registration process, waiting time, and general communications. Qualifications 2 years related experience in medical office, hospital, or medical call center.
