MRI Technologist

Position Overview Under supervision, performs Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) procedures, operates MRI equipment, and ensures patient safety and image quality. Follows established protocols to deliver accurate diagnostic images in a safe environment, complying with healthcare and regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities Interviews patients to assess MRI safety and explains procedures. Ensures patient identification, safety, and comfort during scans. Prepares, positions, and monitors patients for MRI procedures. Operates and adjusts MRI equipment, selecting appropriate settings. Maintains a clean, organized, and safe MRI environment. Performs equipment calibration, maintains supplies, and reports malfunctions. Evaluates image quality, documents findings, and ensures accurate records. Uses electronic medical records for documentation and data management. Performs additional MRI-related tasks as assigned. Qualifications & Skills Current certification in MRI by ARRT or ARMRIT. Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 60 days of employment. Preferred: 2+ years of MRI technologist experience and NYSDOH radiologic technologist license. #J-18808-Ljbffr
