Job Summary and Qualifications

• Prepares patients, collects relevant information for completion of procedures. 
•  Performs all CT procedures. 
•  Observant of patients' conditions. 
•  Transfers and positions the patient in a safe manner. 
•  Practices radiation safety as described in federal standards, utilizing ALARA policy. 
•  Understands and operates electronic information systems. 
•  Compiles appropriate records to expedite results. 
•  Administers contrast media as required. 
•  Participates in continuing education activities to expand/enhance knowledge of CT and to meet the continuing education requirements of the ARRT. 
•  Involvement in Quality Control/Quality Improvement. 
•  Initiates patient teaching including family and/or significant others. 

What qualifications you will need:

EXPERIENCE 

• Required - Previous experience in Radiology 
• Preferred - One-year dedicated CT experience 

EDUCATION 

• Required - Graduate of accredited school of Radiologic Technology 
• Registered Radiographer (ARRT) 
• BLS – within 30 days of hire 
• ARRT certification in CT within 12 months of hire
