Psychologist II Licensed

Purpose Statement/Position Summary The Psychologist II will provide clinical mental health services in assigned program area and/or division. Psychologist II will participate in program development, quality improvement, research and teaching, and/or supervision/mentoring of mental health trainees and staff, as assigned. Psychologist II will be responsible for provision of psychotherapeutic services for an assigned caseload of patients and may also support the facilitation of program development, supervision of mental health trainees/clinicians, staff training/development, management of team goals, quality assurance, and/or adherence to clinical treatment protocols. Psychologist II may be required to provide mentorship to Psychologist I’s, in clinical areas of expertise. Psychologist II may also be involved in didactic presentations, including facilitating trainings/lectures for trainees/staff/faculty; and participation in staff meetings at which teaching and training programs are developed. Minimum Qualifications/Work Experience 7+ years prior licensed experience providing and/or supervising clinical services provided to children and families. Independently provides psychological services for children and families coping with pediatric mental health and/or medical conditions. Demonstrates proficiency in all areas for scope of practice and treatment modalities. Demonstrates the capacity to provide case consultation and/or supervision for other trainees/staff/faculty in the assessment of high-risk clinical situations and intervention plans. Held a key role in program development, clinical supervision, increasing clinical capacity, clinical coordination, and/or department/division/hospital committee. Specialty Areas: Training in Comprehensive Behavioral Intervention for Tics (CBIT) is strongly preferred. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred. Education/Licensure/Certification Ph.D., Ed. D, or Psy.D. in Clinical, School, or Developmental Psychology from an APA accredited graduate program. Licensed Psychologist, State of California in good standing. BLS Certification from the American Heart Association. American Board of Professional Psychology (ABPP) certification or eligible is preferred. #J-18808-Ljbffr Children's Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA)
