Assistant Project Manager - ConstructionColwich, Kansas, United StatesVixxo is seeking a full-time Assistant Project Manager for our Construction projects.The RoleThe VIXXO Assistant Project Manager on the Construction Team is responsible for managing and leading both individual, multi-disciplined convenience store remodel project solutions (including Major/Minor Remodels, Acquisitions, etc.) for clients. The role has direct accountability for on-time project delivery, financial goals and meeting all project objectives. You are trusted internally by cross-functional partners, as well as externally by our customers, for your strategic inputsA driver - you enjoy opportunities to work at a faster than average pace and following things through to completionA relationship builder – you naturally work with different personalities and build customer relationships as a trusted point of contact for any issues that arise.Top 3 ResponsibilitiesHigh volume project management for individual construction projects ranging in scope from $5,000 to $500,000 including planning, design, construction execution, occupancy and closeoutAccountable for the timely completion of the project and ensuring that the project is constructed in strict accordance with plans, specifications, and local codes.Interfaces directly with clients to define project requirements. Prepares scope of work, cost estimate & budget, work plan schedule & milestones, and quality control.QualificationsMinimum three years of direct Construction or Project Management experience and/or trainingPrevious experience working with retail stores a plusDemonstrated ability to read and understand architectural and engineering drawings and forecast and prepare budgetsDemonstrates capability to read, understand and apply standards to complex documents including but not limited to: agreements/contracts, work letters, detailed SOW, surveys and construction drawings.Bachelor's degree in Construction Engineering, Civil Engineering or Construction Management and/or PMP certification preferredWhy VixxoVixxo wants your ambition, your experience, your talent, and what makes you unique.
