Accountant

AccountantArrow Fastener is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accountant to join our Finance team. In this role, you will contribute to the company's success by performing a variety of accounting, reporting, and financial control functions. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while supporting month-end close, financial reporting, reconciliations, and compliance activities.What You Will DoPrepare asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing financial information.Record and document financial transactions accurately and timely.Prepare and assist with balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial reports.Verify, allocate, post, and reconcile accounting transactions.Analyze financial information and summarize financial status for management review.Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.Support month-end and year-end close processes.Perform account reconciliations and maintain accounting controls and procedures.Prepare journal entries and reconcile general ledger accounts.Manage fixed asset and construction-in-progress (CIP) systems and perform physical asset inventory audits.Track and report monthly activity related to prepaids, scrap shipments, repairs and maintenance, freight, utilities, and other receivables.Reconcile intercompany accounts, including payroll and wire/ACH transactions.Perform bank account maintenance and monthly bank reconciliations.Assist with internal and external audits and ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.What You BringBachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; Master's degree preferred.Minimum of 2 years of accounting or finance experience.Manufacturing or consumer products industry experience preferred.Strong knowledge of financial statement preparation, balance sheet analysis, GAAP, and internal controls.Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.Experience with ERP systems; experience with AS400, MAPICS, Fixed Assets, and Contract Management systems is a plus.Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environmentWhy Join UsGreat Star Tools USA and our subsidiaries offer a wide range of benefits to meet our teammates' needs, based on plan eligibility.
