Standardized Patient, Center for Human Simulation and Patient Safety Overview Standardized Patients are used in medical simulations to create realistic educational encounters with medical students. Students gain valuable experience practicing communication and exam techniques. Responsibilities Presents professional demeanor around other staff and client Hours/Days: up to 29 hours/week, as needed Required Qualifications Must be comfortable being examined by medical students of either gender Be reliable and punctual Be at least 18 years of age Must have regular and reliable access to email and have a working phone number Preferred Qualifications Experience in the field of acting or role-play Experience in giving feedback in basic communication skills An interest in medicine or medical education Presents professional demeanor around other staff and client Recruitment for this position is ongoing.
