Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 36-bed Progressive Care Unit with a 4:1 or 5:1 patient ratio
• Perform and interpret EKG monitoring and respond appropriately to cardiac rhythm changes
• Assist with or support occasional procedures such as paracentesis or thoracentesis
• Document accurately and efficiently using Meditech EMR
• Float to ICU or Med-Surg units as needed based on census and staffing requirements
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team in a fast-paced stepdown environment

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Idaho or compact state eligibility
• Minimum 2 years of PCU, IMC, or Stepdown nursing experience
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• Strong critical thinking and EKG interpretation skills

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience titrating cardiac medications
• Familiarity with Meditech EMR
• Team-oriented approach with the ability to adapt in a dynamic unit environment
