Define project scopes, schedules, budgets, and resource requirements. Develop and review project bills of materials, cost estimates, change orders, product substitutions, and procurement strategies. Monitor project milestones, risks, and quality metrics to ensure delivery against business objectives. Provide technical direction throughout the construction process and act as the primary telecommunications subject matter expert. Conduct site visits, technical audits, and quality inspections to verify design compliance and installation workmanship. Review RFIs, submittals, redlines, and field modifications while resolving complex technical issues. Coordinate infrastructure requirements including pathways, cable tray systems, conduit routing, power, cooling, and space allocation. Lead, mentor, and develop internal design resources while fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement. Review and approve design deliverables produced by internal and external teams. Support contractor qualification, interview, selection, and performance management processes. Build strong relationships with business leaders, construction teams, vendors, and external partners. Remain current on emerging technologies, industry standards, and evolving data center infrastructure trends. Drive process improvements that enhance efficiency, scalability, and quality across the design and construction lifecycle. Support the organization's transition toward advanced digital design workflows, including Revit and BIM-based environments.
