Daily Responsibilities:

• Assist veterinarians with examinations, surgeries, and other medical procedures
• Provide compassionate care to animals during their stay at the hospital
• Educate pet owners on proper animal care and treatment plans
• Monitor anesthesia and patient recovery
• Perform kennel duties and maintain a clean and organized work environment

Required Skills:

• Experience in veterinary assisting and small animal care
• Proficient in animal restraint and surgical preparation
• Ability to educate clients on pet care and treatment plans
• Knowledge of anesthesia monitoring and patient recovery
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail

Nice to Have Skills:

• Fear Free Certified
• Knowledge of Cornerstone software
• Knowledge of Idexx In house lab machines

Salary and Benefits:

We offer a competitive salary range of $34,000 to $44,000 per year, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes Simple IRA, flexible schedules, sick leave, holiday pay, and paid time off as well as discounted pet care.
