Test Automation EngineerClint is seeking resources to build, test and deploy components of SmarTrip backend system to support the Client's Website modernization project. The Offeror for this task order will be provided with extensive information around requirements, architecture, and design to use in developing the SmarTrip components required to support the new wmata.com and smartrip.wmata.com Website. The SmarTrip Mobile App is a third-party developed Mobile app in the iOS and Android platform for SmarTrip account management and Client's transit product purchases. The SmarTrip Mobile App was first released in the iOS platform in September of 2020 and the Android platform was released in June 2021. This project is for the onboarding of staff to support the implementation of the SmarTrip Mobile App 2.0 by providing application integration and deployment to include development; configuration and testing; and deployment of the code to production environments for the applicable SmarTrip components and dependencies.Duties:Review requirements specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.Driving the adoption of best practices around design, build, test, and performance.Work with our development teams to design, develop, and execute scripts which validate, to a high degree of confidence, test cases defined within the project's test plan.Support the automated functional testing by our testing teams across multiple messaging protocols, focusing on application flow and validation of test results.Track and communicate task progress, status, and key performance metrics.Participate in troubleshooting and triaging of issues with different teams to drive towards resolution.Communicate effectively across multiple teams/external vendors (Operations, Project Teams, Quality Service, etc.), as well as different personnel (Developers, Scrum Masters, Project Managers, etc.) when required.Conduct troubleshooting/test execution in support of remediation efforts as required.Analyze data and application changes and document their impact on the performance automation task (test cases, scripting, scenario execution, etc.)Ensure the test execution results fulfill the defined test objectives.Ensure the appropriate testing and monitoring tools/technologies are configured accordingly with the test objectives/project team requirements.Expected to maintain technical expertise via self-education in areas governing computer sciences, test automation, and Quality Assurance.Interface directly with the DevOps and Infrastructure teams regarding Functional test environments.Timely and accurate communication of testing events, daily status, and test execution results, etc.Successfully complete mandatory Client's security awareness training on annual basis.Design and create test conditions and scripts to address business and technical use cases.Experience:Bachelor's degree in management information systems, Computer Science, Mathematics, Finance, Business or Public Administration, or in a related discipline.Proficiency with relevant back-end programming languages, programming frameworks and tools, databases, and development platforms, including C#,.Net, and SQL or Oracle. Required. 5 Years.Experience with test automation development, with Selenium and JavaScript. Required. 6 Years.Demonstrated functional test experience, including test analysis. Required. 5 Years.
