Talent Acquisition Scheduling Coordinator (6-month contract)

The Role: Our Talent Acquisition Associates play an integral role in attracting great people to Morningstar, from providing the first experience through candidate sourcing, to interview scheduling, to the pre-onboarding process. This is a great opportunity to learn full cycle recruiting to prepare for a career in talent acquisition. This position is based in our Chicago office. We are working in-office 4 days/week. Responsibilities Partner with Americas’ Talent Acquisition Specialists (recruiters) to own interview scheduling, serving as Morningstar’s first point of contact for candidates and future employees. Assist in the assessment and implementation of interview scheduling automation to scale TA processes in alignment with Morningstar’s long-term business goals. Continuously contribute to improving and enhancing the candidate and hiring manager experience, including collecting and analyzing survey feedback. Promote Morningstar as a great place to work through campus recruiting, professional organizations and other promotion efforts as needed. Ensure requisitions align with documented processes and procedures and check for potential errors or inconsistencies. Support the candidate offer, background check and pre-onboarding processes, ensuring high quality and thoroughness. Manage and resolve inquiries from the TA team and candidates. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent. 1-2 years of professional experience in People & Culture (HR) or in a client service-related role. Strong desire for a career in talent acquisition, including sourcing candidates to uncover talent internally and externally. Proven ability to learn quickly, act professionally, and take responsibility proactively. Discretion and candor with sensitive or confidential information. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic candidate and hiring manager experience, with appropriate urgency for time-sensitive work. Strong attention to detail and a process-improvement mindset. A passion for learning Morningstar’s business, mission, and values.
