Tax Manager

What We Are Looking ForProperty tax administration over a specific geographic area or group of company assetsWhat You Will Do• Collect and process data necessary for completing and filing personal property renditions• Monitor and evaluate both real and personal property assessments• Manage select team players• Self Starter with complex properties• Prepare and file property tax appeals and attend hearings• Correspond and negotiate with local assessment officials to ensure reasonable assessments• Review and process payment requests for property tax bills• Assist in annual property tax forecasts and annual budget• Research property tax laws and legal decisions• Special projects as assignedWhat You Need• Minimum 5 years’ experience in property tax• Bachelor's degree required; a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.• Strong Communication, Analytical and Critical Thinking skills, both written and oral• Ability to plan, organize and meet deadlines; detail oriented• Strong computer skills – Microsoft Excel and Word; skills in PTMS and database understanding a plus• Overnight travel to some degree*Position may be filled at various levels depending on experience and job skills of the successful candidateWhy Join Kinder MorganKinder Morgan is a large energy infrastructure company operating in North America.
