Lead Customer Service Representative (Shift Leader)

The Lead Customer Service Representative plays a key role in delivering exceptional customer experience while supporting store leadership. This position assists the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager with daily operations and helps set the example for clean, friendly, and in-stock (CFI) standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver outstanding customer service by greeting every guest, maintaining a friendly environment, and using suggestive selling techniques
  • Support store leadership with daily operations and shift execution
  • Maintain store cleanliness, including interior, exterior, and restrooms
  • Assist with merchandising, stocking, displays, and inventory replenishment
  • Operate POS registers accurately and maintain proper cash accountability
  • Follow loss prevention, safety, health, and sanitation standards
  • Communicate food service needs with kitchen staff and management
  • Train and support team members; cross-train in retail and food service operations
  • Uphold company policies, pricing, signage, and age-restricted sales compliance
  • Respond to customer concerns professionally and escalate as needed
  • Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude
  • Report safety concerns or incidents promptly

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED (or equivalent experience)
  • 1 year of leadership experience preferred (retail, QSR, or convenience store experience a plus)
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable using POS systems and store technology
  • Team-oriented, flexible, and adaptable to change
  • Reliable transportation
  • Must pass a pre-employment background check
  • Availability to work all shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed
