Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery (L&D) travel assignment in Ukiah, California. Start date: 09/14/2026. Duration: 13 weeks. Weekly pay: $2,526–$2,753 per week. Guaranteed hours: 36 per week. Shift: 3x12-hour day shifts. Setting: Short-term acute care hospital environment with obstetric and neonatal patient care. Key Highlights Weekly pay: $2,526–$2,753 per week Guaranteed hours: 36 hours per week Assignment duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour day shifts, 3 days per week Start date: 09/14/2026 Setting: Labor and delivery unit within a short‑term acute care facility Responsibilities Deliver direct nursing care for laboring, delivery, postpartum, and neonatal patients using the nursing process Monitor fetal status, labor progression, and maternal vital signs; support pain management and anesthesia as applicable Administer medications, perform procedures, and assist with deliveries (vaginal and cesarean) and neonatal stabilization Provide newborn care, initial resuscitation efforts when needed, and coordinate postpartum care planning Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and multidisciplinary teams; educate patients and families; facilitate discharge planning Supervise and coordinate assigned nursing staff as needed; maintain a safe, healing environment and ensure adherence to standards of care Requirements Current Registered Nurse license in the state of practice (California) Minimum 2 years of recent experience in labor and delivery or related obstetric/NICU settings BSN degree preferred Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) required; CPR acceptable; Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required Demonstrated neonatal level II nursery experience for day shift Ability to work the listed shift and operate effectively within a labor and postpartum care environment Education Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred Licenses and Certifications California RN license in good standing BLS (as specified) and CPR NRP certification ACLS certification Benefits and Support Travel assignment support and dedicated recruiter assistance Ongoing assignment coordination and on-call support as needed On-site clinical leadership guidance and patient-care resources General onboarding and credentialing assistance Please note: Pay rates and guaranteed hours are estimates and may vary.
