Job Description\n American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Albany, Georgia.Job Description & Requirements\n \n Specialty: Med Surg\n Discipline: RN\n Start Date: 09/21/2026\n Duration: 17 weeks\n 36 hours per week\n Shift: 12 hours, nights\n Employment Type: Travel\n \n Assignment Overview\n \n Shift: Nights, 3x12hrs\n Hours: 36 hrs/wk\n Start Date: Sep 21, 2026\n Length: 17 weeks\n Openings: 1\n Description\n American Traveler is hiring an experienced Med/Surg RN for a night shift position requiring a GA or compact RN license and at least one year of experience.Details\n \n Acute Care Med/Surg unit with 44 beds and 40 staffed\n Night shift, 12-hour shifts from 7p-7a\n Patient ratios of 1:5, possibly 1:6, for both days and nights\n CNA support available at approximately 1:8-1:10, also used as sitters\n Uses MEDITECH EMR, experience preferred but not required\n Telemetry patients present but monitored on a different unit\n Every other weekend required\n Holiday coverage as needed\n Floating required to all acute care and cardiology units, or to the ER for acute care patient holds\n Requirements\n \n Active GA or compact RN license required\n Current BLS and NIHSS certifications required (both must be AHA)\n Minimum 1 year of RN experience required\n At least 1 prior travel assignment required\n BSN not required\n Additional Information\n \n Provide direct patient care on a Med/Surg acute care unit\n General orientation is 1 week, including EMR training, plus 2 days of floor-specific orientation\n Caribbean Blue scrub color required\n Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible for placement\n Not eligible for placement if previously employed by the facility within the last 12 months\n \n \n American Traveler Job ID #P-753280.
