Faststream is partnering with a leading international shipowner to recruit a Technical Superintendent to join its Petroleum Fleet Operations team. This is an opportunity to play a key role in the technical management of a modern tanker fleet, ensuring vessels operate safely, reliably and efficiently while supporting long-term asset performance.Working within a collaborative and high-performing technical team, you'll have the autonomy to make decisions, solve complex engineering challenges and drive continuous improvements across your assigned vessels.The OpportunityNo two days are the same. One day you could be planning a major repair, the next supporting a vessel through an inspection, analyzing technical performance, or working alongside shipboard teams to resolve a critical engineering issue. This role offers genuine variety and the chance to make a measurable impact on fleet reliability, operational performance and safety.Key ResponsibilitiesTake full technical responsibility for an assigned fleet of tanker vessels.Plan and manage maintenance programmes, repairs and dry dockings.Monitor vessel performance and implement initiatives to improve reliability and efficiency.Ensure compliance with Class, Flag State, PSC and SIRE requirements.Manage technical budgets and control maintenance expenditure.Work closely with Masters, Chief Engineers and shore-based teams to deliver safe and efficient operations.Manage contractors, suppliers and repair yards to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget.Identify opportunities to improve technical standards, processes and asset performance across the fleet.About YouWe're looking for someone who enjoys solving problems, building relationships and taking ownership.
