Production Supervisor - 2nd Shift

Eaton’s Electrical Sector – ARS division is currently seeking a Production Supervisor – 2nd Shift to join our team. This position is based at our Lincoln, IL facility, supporting our Residential & Wiring Devices products. The hours for this position are 2:30pm - 11:30pm, Monday - Friday. The Production Supervisor is responsible for directing and coordinating the manufacturing/production activities to achieve maximum productivity at minimum cost, while maintaining world class levels of Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost. In this role, you will assist the Operations Manager in developing processes to achieve a zero-incident culture, maximize output, maintain machinery and reduce overall costs. Through these improvements, you will exceed the customers’ expectations by ensuring that organizational decision making is based on a process-oriented culture linking strategy to actions. The expected annual salary range for this role is $86,000 – $126,000 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience and qualifications as well as market and business considerations. What You’ll Do Drive a zero‑incident safety culture and align department requirements with Eaton’s Quality Management System. Execute Eaton’s Continuous Improvement Framework (CIF) by ensuring standardized processes are followed and empowering employees to improve standard work and implement countermeasures. Promote a team environment and develop direct reports through problem‑solving skills and cross‑training opportunities; facilitate cooperation across shifts and among other department supervisors. Assist the Management Team in determining personnel requirements, providing training resources for new employees, and facilitating the job‑bidding process. Coach employees on safety, quality and productivity performance, including attendance, training, overtime and vacation requests. Assign daily work schedules and review in‑process inventory reports to ensure alignment with business goals. Lead daily accountability meetings with a cross‑functional team focused on performance and issue resolution (Tier, GEMBA) and weekly department meetings to communicate safety topics, plant‑wide activities, business updates and policy changes. Maintain daily statistics on customer demand, production and overdue orders; communicate production metrics to management and other supervisors, and act as a central contact for production issues. Initiate and coordinate assistance from support functions (e.g., Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain). Assign overtime as required to meet production schedules. Evaluate qualifications and performance of team members based upon Division and Plant policies. Ensure department work areas are kept clean, organized and orderly per 5S standards. Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution and two (2) years of experience as a supervisor or engineer in a manufacturing or similar environment OR a high school diploma/GED from an accredited institution and five (5) years of experience as a supervisor in a manufacturing or similar environment. Must be able to work the second‑shift schedule (2:30pm – 11:30pm, Monday‑Friday). Preferred Qualifications Experience with MRP/ERP systems. Experience with component fabrication / press operations. Lean and 5S fundamentals experience.
