Senior Cardiac Sonographer II - Non-Invasive Lab (FT)

Job Summary The Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer II (DCS II) is proficient in providing high quality cardiac ultrasound images of the heart and great vessels, assessing myocardial function, recording hemodynamic measurements, and visualizing blood flow using 2D, M-mode, color-flow and spectral Doppler. The DCS II performs Stress Echocardiograms, Dobutamine Stress Echo, and assists with Transesophageal Echocardiograms. The DCS II establishes peripheral intravenous access and administers Ultrasound Enhancing Agents according to established protocol and standing medical order (SMO). The DCS II retrieves, communicates, and presents information in a written, oral or visual format. The DCS II functions as a preceptor to staff and students and assists daily with patient scheduling and procedures to ensure efficient workflow. Minimum Qualifications Education: GED or a Grade‑complete program with graduation from a CAHEP accredited Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer program. Licensure & Certifications Reg Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (or Reg Cardiac Sonographer through ARDMS or CCI) with a second registry: Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT), Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS), Registered Pediatric Echocardiography, or Certified Cardiographic Technologist, and at least 3 years of experience. Reg Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (or Reg Cardiac Sonographer through ARDMS or CCI) with at least 5 years of experience. Basic Life Support from an AHA or Red Cross approved program. Work Experience Three years of hospital experience and at least two certifications; or Five years of hospital experience and at least one certification. Management Experience: Six months of management operational experience related to patient scheduling and flow is preferred. Job Attributes Work Schedule: Mon‑Fri 06:45–15:15, one Saturday shift every 6 weeks, off Sundays, no on‑call. Equipment Operated: Various ultrasound and cardiology related machines. #J-18808-Ljbffr
