About the opportunity:

The Nurse Practitioner will provide patient care, consultation, evaluation, and education to patients of the assigned clinic.

What you will do: * Follows standards of care as outlined by Vail Health and Colorado Nurse Practice Act. * Supports the coordination of the daily patient flow to optimize patient care, safety, and satisfaction. * Maintains confidentiality of patient, staff, and hospital administration. * Provides care within scope of practice as established by the privileges granted through the Vail Health Medical Staff Office. * Competency in assessment, diagnosis, and treatment to assure high standards of patient care, patient satisfaction, and safety are maintained as documented by supervising physician's review. * Provides patient education relating to current medical issues and to promote healthy lifestyle choices. * Displays and promotes professional, courteous, and collaborative interaction with patients/families, providers, staff, other Vail Health departments, and leadership in meeting patient care needs and promoting teamwork. * Demonstrates ability to delegate care appropriately and according to Colorado statute. * Ensures that patient documentation is in accordance with accreditation and regulatory compliance standards. * Demonstrates competency in triage, diagnosis, and treatment to assure high standards of patient care and safety are maintained.
