About the Hospital This long-established veterinary hospital has been serving the San Antonio community since the 1980s and operates from an impressive 22,000-square-foot facility. The hospital provides 24/7 veterinary care for dogs and cats, combining emergency medicine with comprehensive general, diagnostic and surgical services. The Opportunity As an Emergency Veterinarian, you'll be responsible for assessing, stabilizing and treating patients presenting with a broad range of urgent and emergency conditions. You'll work alongside an experienced clinical team, providing collaborative care and ensuring patients receive timely diagnostics and appropriate treatment. Responsibilities will include: •Triage and stabilization of emergency patients
•Managing acute medical presentations
•Developing diagnostic and treatment plans
•Performing emergency procedures and surgery where appropriate
•Interpreting diagnostic imaging and laboratory results
•Managing hospitalized patients
•Providing pain management and supportive care
•Communicating clearly with owners during stressful situations
•Maintaining accurate and timely medical records
•Collaborating with fellow veterinarians and support staff
