Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Family Health Clinic Job Type: Full-Time | Days Schedule: Monday-Thursday 8a-5p; Friday 8a-12p Southern Tennessee Regional Health System – Pulaski We are looking for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide direct patient care in our Family Health Clinic. Your experience, compassion, and dedication will help us make communities healthier. How you'll contribute A Clinic LPN who excels in this role: As supervised and delegated by a registered nurse, provides direct patient care in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice. Performs plan of care interventions, including specimen collection and wound care. May administer medication. Documents patient care given. Assists RN with development of plan of care. Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation. Monitors, documents, and communicates patient's status and reactions to interventions with RN, physician, patient, and families. Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well‑being of the patient. Schedules appointments and procedures as ordered by the provider. Obtains insurance re‑authorizations as requested for testing and scheduled procedures. What we're looking for Licensing & Education : Current Tennessee (or compact state) LPN license and graduate of a Practical Nursing program. Certifications : AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire. Required Skills : Critical thinking, decisive judgment, ability to work with minimal supervision, work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
