CT Technologist/Radiology Tech - PRN

We are seeking PRN CT Techs to join our team! This is a fantastic opportunity to work part time at a freestanding ER. The Radiology/CT Technologist will be responsible for: Operating radiology equipment to produce CT and X‑ray results for diagnostic purposes. Collaborating with physician, nurses, patients and families to provide excellent health care. Maintaining professionalism in job performance and health care practice. Performing patient laboratory testing and results reporting as assigned by the Laboratory Director Insertion of IV catheter and blood draws in the ER. Calibrating all laboratory instruments, where applicable, as per facility policy. Assisting in the maintenance of all equipment in the department, including cleaning and QA procedures. Preparing patients as necessary for examination, i.e.: contrast, checking labs. Maintaining safety precautions to minimize radiation exposure to patients, other personnel, and self. Maintaining current knowledge of Diagnostic Radiology/CT procedures performed in Radiology Department. Possessing basic knowledge of radiology/CT equipment functioning to provide for minor repair and troubleshooting for problems. Providing safe transportation of patients to and from the patient care unit. Monitoring appropriate send out lab procedures. Demonstrating knowledge of and adhering to regulations and ER policies and procedures pertaining to safety, emergency preparedness, infection control, OSHA, fire safety and hazardous materials. Treating all patients, visitors, and staff members fairly and with respect. Performing care in a non‑judgmental manner and recognizing discrepancies between patient and personal beliefs. Attending all ER required meetings and in-service education. Ensure an adequate stock of supplies and proper functioning of equipment. Maintaining and using all instruments in the Clinical Laboratory safely and correctly. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements High school diploma or GED equivalent. Graduation from accredited approved school of Radiologic Technology. Two years of radiologic/imaging experience. ARRT CT certification. CPR certification. A well‑maintained level of continuing education in the field of Radiology Technology. Successful completion of Ascent EMC clinical orientation with proven capabilities in skill, knowledge base and an understanding of company vision. Basic computer skills.
