Desired Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification
• Demonstrated experience delivering math instruction at the middle school level
• Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation
• Ability to differentiate lessons to meet students’ unique needs and abilities
• Excellent classroom management and organizational skills
• Collaborative spirit for working with parents, fellow educators, and support staff
• Clear, professional communication style

Core Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging, standards-based math lessons adapted to students’ educational plans
• Work closely with general education teachers to provide inclusive instruction
• Develop, review, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Assess student performance and adjust instructional strategies accordingly
• Offer targeted interventions and small group instruction as needed
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and communications
• Foster a supportive, inclusive environment that encourages student confidence and achievement
• Communicate effectively with families, advocating for student needs and sharing progress
