Job Description

This role focuses on performing detailed vial inspection and packaging of finished products to ensure they meet all quality and specification requirements. You will work in a cleanroom environment, follow strict procedures, and support the manufacturing team by maintaining accurate documentation, proper labeling, and safe handling of materials and hazardous waste.

Responsibilities

• Complete required training modules to become certified as a vial inspector.
• Complete training modules on proper gowning techniques for entering and exiting designated cleanroom areas.
• Visually inspect vials, labels, and finished packaged goods to verify they meet all specifications and quality standards.
• Perform manual labeling and packaging of finished products according to specifications when automated machinery is unavailable.
• Maintain accurate and compliant documentation, including recording, maintaining, and organizing batch records, forms, documents, and logbooks for assigned areas.
• Ensure proper labeling and safe disposal of hazardous waste generated on the packaging floor.
• Assist other team members in manufacturing and related areas as needed to support production and quality goals.
• Maintain good workplace organization and housekeeping of tools, inspection stations, and packaging machines.
• Adhere to all applicable Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and ISO rules and regulations related to the position.
• Perform any other related duties assigned by the supervisor in support of production and quality objectives.

Essential Skills

• At least 1 year of visual inspection experience, preferably in a regulated environment.
• Experience with inspection and packaging processes, particularly for medical or pharmaceutical products.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects or nonconformities in vials, labels, and packaging.
• Ability to work effectively in a cleanroom environment and follow strict gowning and cleanliness procedures.
• Good oral and written communication skills to document work accurately and collaborate with team members.
• Strong teamwork and problem-solving skills to support manufacturing operations and resolve issues.
• Demonstrated initiative and manual dexterity for precise inspection, labeling, and packaging tasks.
• Ability to stand continuously for two or more hours while performing inspection and packaging duties.
• Ability to work safely and operate all material-moving equipment in a safe manner.
• Basic math skills to support documentation, counts, and related tasks.
• Willingness and ability to work overtime as necessary to meet production needs.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Previous experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing or a similar regulated industry is preferred.
• Familiarity with medical device or pharmaceutical packaging processes is an advantage.
• Experience working under Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and ISO standards.
• Comfort working with automated and manual packaging equipment.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and support multiple areas within manufacturing as needed.

Work Environment

This position is based in a cleanroom manufacturing environment that requires proper gowning and adherence to strict cleanliness and safety protocols. The role offers positions on a 1st shift from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and a 2nd shift from 2:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. You will spend extended periods standing at inspection and packaging stations, working with both manual and automated equipment. The environment emphasizes organization, housekeeping, and safe operation of material-moving equipment, with clear procedures and documentation requirements to support GMP and ISO compliance.

This is a Contract position based out of Lake Forest, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $27.60/hr.
