Certified School Nurse
The goals of the Certified School Nurse is to maintain, improve, and promote the optimum health status and lifestyle for all students through joint efforts of the home, school, and community.
Responsibilities:
- Applies appropriate nursing theory as the basis for decision making in the school setting
- Establishes and maintains a comprehensive school health program following state guidelines and school district policy and practice
- Performs other related duties as may be assigned or necessary for an efficient operation
Qualifications:
- Licensed Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania
- Certification as Educational Specialist by PA Department of Education
- Current CPR certificate
