Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Tax Staff/Senior Accountant to join our team in Katy, Texas. This role involves preparing and filing individual and business federal tax returns, conducting account analyses, and providing strategic financial insights. Key Details: Position: Tax Staff/Senior Accountant in Public Accounting Duration: Permanent Placement Pay Range: $70,000 - $100,000 Top 3 skills: Public accounting preparing and filing individual federal tax returns, Public accounting preparing and filing business federal tax returns, CPA candidate or certified Years of Experience: 2-5 years Responsibilities: Prepare and file federal and state tax returns in compliance with regulations. Conduct detailed account analyses to identify discrepancies and ensure accurate reporting. Perform financial analyses to evaluate the impact of tax strategies on business performance. Utilize financial software, including QuickBooks and CCH Tax, to streamline processes. Collaborate with team members to ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with coursework in individual and business tax preferred. 2-5 years of proven experience in tax preparation within a public accounting firm or a similar role. Proficiency in financial software applications, including QuickBooks and MS Office. CPA certification, CPA eligibility, or Enrolled Agent status is highly preferred.
