Travel Radiology Technologist - $1,946 per week

Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Radiology Technologist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Start Date: 06/22/2026 Duration: 12 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 10 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Departments : Radiology - X Ray Job Title : Radiology Tech Location : Slidell, LA 70460 Shift : Day Shift 10 Hours, 8:30 a‑m–7:00 p‑m Thursday–Friday Qualifications Education: Completion of an approved radiologic technology program. Certifications: Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT); Current unrestricted license in the state of practice; Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Proficiency with computers and web‑based applications; Effective verbal and written communication; Strong interpersonal skills; Ability to work a flexible schedule (24/7, weekend, holiday, on‑call) and travel between facilities. Job Duties Verify physician orders and procedures for accuracy. Use radiology information systems to facilitate care. Explain procedures to patients to ensure understanding. Operate equipment independently to complete imaging procedures per protocol, including placement of nasogastric tubes, IVs, urinary catheters, and administration of contrast. Review patient images before transmission to ensure diagnostic quality. Complete timely quality‑control procedures per regulatory standards and perform notifications/remediations as warranted. Assist departmental operations (inventory, staff schedules, equipment maintenance, etc.). Adapt behaviors to the specific patient population, respecting privacy, introducing oneself, explaining services, and adjusting communication style. Perform other related duties as required.
