Truck Spotter - 2nd Shift

Works closely with management to organize and execute the safe movement of fleet trailers within the yard. Checks fuel levels, tracks inventory, verifies loadout orders and completes daily reports. Communicates and interacts with other departments in a professional manner. Responsible for the placement of trailers on the yard and organization of the yard.

Essential duties and responsibilities include operating yard truck to move trailers to and from dock, reporting all accidents immediately to supervisor, monitoring company issued radio, adjusting refrigerated trailer temperature settings, maintaining cleanliness and fueling of yard tractors and trailers, completing daily check-off list, removing trash and washing out trailers daily, moving tankers in and out of the receiving bay, and other duties as assigned.

Basic requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, knowledge of performing pre and post-trip inspection, and a valid driver's license.

Competencies include communication, accountability, customer focused, initiative, problem-solving, and collaboration.

Physical demands include standing, walking, climbing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, operating a truck, and lifting medium weight. The work environment may require working in cooler rooms, exposed to noise levels of 90 decibels, and wet/slippery conditions.
