Position Summary

The Line Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking menu items according to The Juicy Crab's recipes, quality standards, and food safety guidelines. The Line Cook works efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining cleanliness, organization, and teamwork.

Prepare and cook food items according to company recipes and specifications.

Set up and stock workstations with all necessary ingredients and supplies before service.

Ensure seafood boils, fried items, appetizers, and sides are prepared consistently and accurately.

Maintain proper food temperatures and portion control standards.

Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures.

Label, date, and properly store food products.

Keep cooking stations clean and organized throughout the shift.

Assist with receiving, rotating, and storing inventory using FIFO (First In, First Out) procedures.

Monitor product quality and notify management of any issues.

Work closely with other kitchen team members to ensure timely ticket completion.

Clean kitchen equipment, floors, prep areas, and workstations at the end of each shift.

Assist with prep work and other kitchen duties as assigned.

Previous cooking experience preferred.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.

Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.

Reliable attendance and punctuality.

Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Standing, walking, bending, and reaching throughout the shift.

Lifting and carrying food products, supplies, and equipment up to 50 pounds.

Working in hot, wet, and fast-paced kitchen conditions.

Follow recipes and cooking procedures consistently.

Maintain food quality and presentation standards.

Complete tickets accurately and promptly.

Keep workstation clean and inspection-ready at all times.

Adhere to all company policies and health department regulations.
