About the Position

TravelNurseSource is working with GSK SOLUTIONS INC to find a qualified ER/Trauma RN in Utica, New York, 13501!

Seeking an experienced Emergency Room RN to work in a high-volume, high-acuity 64-bed ED . The RN will provide rapid assessment, stabilization, and treatment to patients across all age groups, including newborns, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics.

• Perform rapid triage, assessment, and prioritization of patients
• Deliver emergency care for conditions such as stroke, sepsis, trauma, MI, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure
• Administer medications, IV therapy, blood products, and emergency interventions
• Operate and assist with specialized equipment (e.g., Rapid Infusor, Arctic Sun )
• Monitor patient responses and adjust care plans accordingly
• Collaborate with physicians, trauma teams, and interdisciplinary staff
• Provide patient and family education during critical situations
• Maintain accurate documentation in EPIC EMR system
• Float to other units as needed
• May serve in charge nurse capacity (preferred)

Requirements

• Active RN License (NY required)
• Minimum 2+ years of recent ED experience (REQUIRED)
• Travel experience required 
• Experience with pediatric patients required
• Experience with EPIC EMR

Certifications (ALL REQUIRED):

• • BLS (AHA)
  • ACLS (AHA)
  • PALS
  • NIHSS
  • TNCC (must be in hand)
