Position Summary The Supervisor is responsible for leading and supervising hourly production employees to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality manufacturing operations. This role oversees daily production activities, enforces safety and quality standards, manages labor and workflow, and supports continuous improvement initiatives to meet production schedules and business objectives. Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate daily activities of hourly manufacturing employees Assign work, set priorities, and adjust staffing to meet production schedules Qualifications High school diploma or GED required 1+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment Experience supervising hourly craft or production employees is preferred Working knowledge of manufacturing processes such as welding, machining, fabrication, or assembly Strong understanding of safety practices in an industrial setting Ability to read and interpret drawings, work instructions, and production schedules Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment Physical Requirements Must be able to stand for prolonged periods (8+ hours) Must be able to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 50 lbs. independently Frequent bending, stooping, reaching, and manual handling of materials required Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity Ability to tolerate noise, heat, and dust in a manufacturing environment Visual acuity to read measuring tools, drawings, and detect quality defects Must pass initial and ongoing physical or occupational health screenings (e.g., lifting assessment, vision test, hearing test, etc.) Must be able to wear required PPE, including steel-toe boots, gloves, safety glasses, and hearing protection Work Environment Manufacturing floor with exposure to moving mechanical parts, sharp materials, and moderate to loud noise.
