Shipping and Receiving Forklift Operator

Preform Solutions, Inc. is a well-established manufacturer of custom plastics serving the packaging industry for over 25 years in Sioux Falls. We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Shipping and Receiving Forklift Operator to join our team. This full-time role is ideal for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced production environment and are looking for a long-term career with a company that values dedication and teamwork. As part of our Shipping and Receiving team, you will play a key role in ensuring the accurate and efficient movement of products within our facility and to our offsite warehouse.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Shipping Lead to prioritize and coordinate truck loading schedules
• Verify products and quantities against purchase orders before loading
• Scan boxes in and out of inventory using company-provided mobile technology for accurate tracking
• Complete all required shipping and receiving paperwork accurately
• Operate a sit-down forklift safely and efficiently
• Transport boxes and materials between the main facility and offsite warehouse as needed
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license
• Experience in warehousing, production, material handling, or shipping/receiving preferred
• Previous sit-down forklift experience required
• Ability to climb on and off forklift steps frequently throughout the workday
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs without assistance
• Comfortable using mobile phone technology for inventory tracking
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Effective communication skills and ability to work well in a team
• Self-motivated, dependable, and committed to good attendance
• Ability to multi-task and work independently in a fast-paced environment

Compensation

$23.00 per hour starting rate. Overtime may be available depending on workload.

 

Schedule

Monday-Friday 10:30am-7pm with possibility of overtime depending on workload
