Schedule / Job Type

Contract (13 Weeks) | Night Shift | 3x12 or 4x12 Hours | 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM | Weekdays, Weekends, and Holidays | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in an 8-bed Emergency Department within a critical access hospital setting
• Perform IV insertion and patient triage as core clinical duties
• Deliver care across all shifts including weekdays, weekends, and holidays with no call, charge, or float requirements
• Document patient care accurately using the Cerner EMR system
• Respond to a full range of emergency presentations appropriate to a critical access ED environment

Required Qualifications

• Active West Virginia RN license or valid Compact RN license (pending license accepted at time of submission)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS required — BLS and ACLS must be through the American Heart Association (AHA)
• NIHSS certification required
• Candidates must have a permanent address more than 100 miles from the facility; candidates between 75–100 miles may be considered on a case-by-case basis

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a critical access or rural hospital emergency department
• Familiarity with Cerner EMR documentation
• Ability to manage a high-acuity, fast-paced ED environment with a small team
