Universal Truck Service is now expanding to a new 2nd shift - and we are looking for experienced Trailer Technicians who want to be part of something growing.Universal Truck Service was founded on the belief that great service and quality are not a thing of the past.A Day in the LifeAs a 2nd Shift Trailer Technician at Universal Truck Service, you will clock in at 1pm and work a 4/10 schedule Monday through Thursday. Your shift covers the full range of trailer maintenance and repair - from brake and suspension systems to electrical, body and roof work, and safety inspections. The 2nd shift at Universal Truck Service is a team that holds itself to a high standard and takes pride in keeping fleets moving safely and efficiently.What You'll DoPerform repairs and preventative maintenance on trailers, dollies, and switchersService anti-lock brakes, wheel end components, electric brakes, disc brakes, and ABS systemsRepair swing doors, roll-up doors, and lift gatesPerform body, roof, frame, and flooring repairs or replacementsService air ride and spring suspensions, pneumatic systems, and electrical wiringConduct safety inspections and prepare required safety documentationPrepare and maintain vehicle records both manually and in fleet management systemsSchedule2nd Shift - 4/10 schedule (Monday through Thursday, 1pm–11:30pm). $2/hr shift differential included.What You Bring2+ years of trailer mechanic or technician experienceValid driver's license (Class C)Own hand tools and toolboxProficiency in Excel, Word, fleet management systems, and emailStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to lift 40+ lbs; comfortable with frequent bending, kneeling, and crawlingWhat You Get$28–$36/hr depending on experience$2/hr shift differential$3,000 sign-on bonus$1000- $1,500 performance bonus every 90 days$300 tool and boot bonus every 90 daysMedical, Dental, and Disability Insurance401K with company match Paid Time Off accrual and Paid HolidaysTool and toolbox program with 2-year commitmentSolid company culture - birthday recognition, team BBQs, holiday events and moreReady to Join the Team?Click to fill out our 3-minute application and a member of the Universal Truck Service team will be in touch within 24–48 hours.
