Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Location: Spartanburg, South Carolina, United States Job ID: P-101903 Job Summary: The Registered Respiratory Therapist, under the guidance of the Department Director/Manager and Medical Director, provides advanced age‑specific and culturally appropriate patient care. Responsibilities include ventilation, oxygenation, administering medications, performing invasive procedures (arterial blood sampling, intubation/extubation, tracheostomy care, etc.), and serving as a clinical resource and educator. Minimum Requirements: Associate degree graduate of a specialized 2‑year Respiratory Therapy program or meets criteria to qualify for NBRC RRT exam. Successful completion of new hire orientation and annual competency assessment within the probationary period. Registered RRT credential (NBRC) and current South Carolina Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; ACLS and PALS for adult critical care; NRP and PALS for NICU/Pediatrics; STABLE preferred if applicable. Opt into National Board of Respiratory Care's searchable registry for the duration of employment. Preferred Education: Associate of Science or Bachelor’s in Respiratory Therapy. Preferred Experience: 1–2 years in specialty areas (Adult critical care, Neonatal/Pediatrics). 1 year pulmonary functions/cardiac testing if applicable. Preferred Licenses/Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS for adult critical care; BLS, PALS, NRP for neonatal/pediatric; SC RCP license; NBRC RRT credential. Core Job Responsibilities: Perform and document detailed respiratory assessment and report abnormalities. Verify physician orders and review medication list in EMR throughout shift. Recommend therapy modifications per protocols. Initiate mechanical invasive/non‑invasive ventilation and perform ventilator bundles. Perform arterial sampling and moderate‑complexity lab testing; verify panic values. Respond to medical alerts, establish and maintain airway. Assist with bronchoscopy procedures as requested. Document all assessments and procedures in EMR. Ensure appropriate critical path/standard of care implemented collaboratively. Other duties as assigned. #J-18808-Ljbffr
