Therapy Team Leader

The Therapy Team Leader assists the Director of Therapy Operations in the day‑to‑day operations of a therapy team or discipline. The position requires effective supervisory skills, good communication skills for interdepartmental relationships, and competency in licensed discipline evaluation, assessment, care planning, and treatment. Responsibilities Delegate and supervise tasks of therapist assistants and technicians. Assist with staffing, scheduling, orientation, training, and communications to provide adequate coverage for patient treatments. Maintain open and ongoing communication with hospital departments to ensure patient, staff, and hospital needs are met. Provide patient care in the licensed discipline 80%‑90% of work hours. Create an environment and culture that enables the hospital to fulfill its mission, hold staff accountable for performance, and motivate staff to improve performance. Own the operation of the department, including measurement, assessment, and continuous improvement. Help staff improve their clinical skills and overall performance through staff development and mentoring. Qualifications Effective supervisory skills. Strong communication skills for interdepartmental relationships. Competency in licensed discipline evaluation, assessment, care planning, and treatment. Experience managing therapist assistants and technicians. Ability to staff, schedule, orient, and train therapy staff. Strong collaborative skills with hospital departments.
