Certified Pharmacy Technician

We are seeking an experienced Pharmacy Technician for a 3-month remote contract assignment supporting an outpatient Pharmacy Benefit program. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of Pharmacy Technician experience , along with 2 years of Prior Authorization experience and an active California Pharmacy Technician license . REQUIRED SKILLS Primary (Must-Have): Minimum 2 years of Pharmacy Technician experience Minimum 2 years of Prior Authorization experience Strong knowledge of pharmacy benefit processes Excellent communication and coordination skills ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES Coordinate, assist with, and support the implementation of procedures and guidelines for the drug prior authorization program for the outpatient Pharmacy Benefit. Evaluate prior authorization requests based on medication policies and operational principles. Provide drug usage history and other pertinent pharmacy benefit information to internal business partners to support case-specific reviews and drug evaluations. Communicate with physicians, physician office staff, pharmacies, and internal business partners to facilitate accurate and efficient resolution of pharmacy benefit inquiries. Clearly communicate formulary alternatives and prior authorization criteria. Discuss pharmacy benefit coverage and requirements when needed. Support accurate and timely resolution of pharmacy benefit-related cases.
