UNIT CLERK/SECRETARY/COORD

Responsibilities Mountain Youth Academy is nestled in Mountain City, Tennessee, conveniently located near Johnson City, TN, Boone, NC, and Abingdon, VA. We are a 120-bed residential treatment facility and assist in the evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of a wide range of behavioral health issues for our young adolescent patients. We are seeking a meticulous and compassionate Unit Clerk to join our team. Key Responsibilities Maintain patient confidentiality by adhering to HIPAA regulations. Retrieve and file medical records as needed. Upload all required documents on HCS (EMR). Answer phone calls, retrieve faxes, and direct inquiries to appropriate healthcare providers. Obtain required signatures or HWC packets, PMEs, Psychotropic Medication consents via Adobe Sign. Send/fax all required DCS notifications. Coordinate Zoom calls with physicians for initial psych evaluations and with Mobile Crisis. Monitor and maintain inventory levels: medical supplies, including pediatric-specific items. Medical office assistant certificate or prior unit clerk experience preferred. De‑escalation training. Good computer skills. Excellent interpersonal skills. CPR certified. Ability to multi‑task.
