We are a vibrant Latin/Caribbean restaurant located in the heart of Walnut Creek. We opened in 2022 and are seeking to continue to grow our team.
Full Time Line Cook
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Line Cook to join our team and prepare high-quality dishes for our guests. The Line Cook will be responsible for preparing ingredients, cooking and presenting dishes, and maintaining a clean and organized work area. The successful candidate will have strong attention to detail and be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Available shifts: 30+ hours per week
8am-4:30pm
2pm-11pm
4pm-11pm
All of which includes Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays. (Closed Christmas and Thanksgiving)
Responsibilities:
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including washing and chopping vegetables, meat and fish.
- Cook and present dishes according to Chef's specifications, including following recipes and presentation standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including washing dishes and utensils and maintaining inventory levels as needed.
- Communicate effectively with other team members, including the kitchen staff and management.
- Follow all safety and sanitation policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Must have a valid California Food Handlers Card
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a line cook or in a similar role
- Strong attention to detail and high level of organization and cleanliness
- Ability to multitask and handle a workload.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Basic math skills
