Thrive Space Counseling Services is actively seeking a dedicated and culturally competent full-time Licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our remote team. Work Environment
This role is structured as a full-time remote position, allowing you to work from the comfort of your own home while still being part of a collaborative and engaged team. Our clinicians have access to contemporary teletherapy tools and electronic health record (EHR) systems, ensuring seamless communication and documentation practices. We emphasize a flexible work schedule, traditionally from Monday to Friday between 9:00 AM and 6:00 PM, with adjustments as necessary to address patient needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments that account for each patient's cultural background, life experiences, and presenting issues.
- Develop and implement personalized, evidence-based treatment plans that are both effective and culturally informed.
- Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions, tailoring your therapeutic methods to resonate with a culturally diverse clientele.
- Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team that includes psychiatrists, psychologists, and other mental health professionals to deliver cohesive and comprehensive care.
- Provide crisis intervention for patients experiencing acute mental health challenges, employing de-escalation techniques and support strategies.
- Educate patients and their families about mental health issues, available treatments, and local resources, empowering them to take an active role in their care.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring confidentiality and privacy for all clients.
- Engage in regular case conferences, team meetings, and ongoing cultural competence training to enhance professional skills and service delivery.
- Remain current with best practices, emerging therapies, and cultural considerations in mental health treatment through continual education and professional development.
Patient Population / Client Focus
Our practice specializes in serving a diverse client base that includes ethnic and cultural minorities, LGBTQ+ individuals, and immigrant communities. As a therapist, you will play a key role in promoting mental wellness through culturally responsive practices, addressing challenges that these populations commonly face, and helping to foster resilience in their experiences.
Qualifications
- A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
- Possession of an active and valid license to practice as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Colorado.
- A deep understanding of mental health disorders and a solid foundation in evidence-based therapeutic practices.
- Demonstrated experience providing individual and group therapy, particularly in culturally sensitive and inclusive approaches.
- Strong skills in crisis intervention and the ability to respond effectively in high-pressure situations.
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and rapport-building skills with clients from diverse backgrounds.
- Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant technology.
- A commitment to upholding professional ethics, confidentiality, and boundaries.
- The ability to effectively collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary care team.
Preferred Experience
- Previous experience in a multicultural outpatient setting or similar mental health environment.
- Familiarity with teletherapy platforms and techniques.
- Engagement in community outreach and advocacy efforts related to mental health.
Compensation and Benefits
