As a member of the Princess Family, you’ll enjoy a truly adventurous career with excellent incentives, unlimited opportunities for growth, and ports of call that will leave you breathless.Key Responsibilities Ensure all laundry and associated areas meet Company standards for cleanliness, sanitation, and maintenance through daily inspections and ongoing monitoring.; Oversee valet services, ensuring prompt, consistent, and high-quality delivery that meets or exceeds guest and crew expectations.; Manage the day-to-day operations of the Laundry department, focusing on workflow efficiency, product quality, and on-time delivery to operating departments.; Supervise, coach, and develop Laundry team members, clearly communicating role expectations, conducting performance appraisals, and identifying talent for advancement.; Provide training on the correct use of machinery, chemical handling, product processing, and safety procedures.; Maintain a safe, motivated, and productive work environment with open and regular communication.; Monitor inventory and coordinate with the Hotel Storekeeper to ensure adequate supplies while minimizing waste and ensuring cost-effective usage.; Ensure all equipment is used according to manufacturer specifications and promptly report and follow up on maintenance needs to the Technical Department.; Maintain compliance with Company policies, Public Health standards, fleet regulations, and all relevant internal and external audit requirements.; Support onboard emergency procedures and fulfill General Emergency Organization duties as assigned.; Promote and demonstrate Company values, acting as an ambassador of Princess Cruises and fostering respectful, culturally aware working relationships.; Skills, Knowledge & Expertise Proven experience in a senior laundry role onboard cruise ships; previous shipboard experience is mandatory; Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise, train, and motivate multicultural teams; Good verbal and written English communication skills; Solid knowledge of laundry operations, machinery, and chemical usage; Good understanding of public health, sanitation, and safety standards (e.g. USPH); Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage high-volume operations efficiently; Experience in training and developing team members and maintaining service standards; Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while ensuring quality, consistency, and timely delivery; Awareness of cost control and proper use of consumables; Committed to company policies, safety procedures, and emergency duties onboard; Additional Information This position involves regular physical activity, including standing for extended periods and lifting or moving heavy items in line with operational requirements.
