Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of collections efforts. Establish and manage relationships with third-parties for the delivery of the strategy.
  • Risk Management & Regulatory Compliance: Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with collections activities, including strict adherence to all federal, state, and local regulations governing collections and recoveries.
  • Financial Performance: Own the Collections and Recoveries budget and maximize return on operational expenses.
  • Technology and Innovation: Leverage technology to improve efficiency and effectiveness, including the implementation of new collection systems and tools.
  • Customer Experience: Balance aggressive collections with a customer-centric approach, minimizing negative impacts on customer relationships.
  • Additional responsibilities may vary based on the company's needs and requirements.

About You (Required Qualifications)

  • 5+ years of experience in collections and recoveries in the consumer finance industry.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or another quantitative/analytics field.
  • Strong understanding of consumer finance regulations, including the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) and other relevant laws.
  • Proficiency with SQL, Snowflake, and other data/analytics tooling.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication, influencing and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree (MBA or MS).

Location: Richmond, VA; Arlington, VA; or Remote (U.S.). Associates near one of our office locations may work in-office, hybrid, or remotely. Remote opportunities are available to candidates throughout the United States.

Salary Range: $153,000-$230,000 per year (depending on experience and location)
