ResponsibilitiesPosition OverviewAre you ready to put your years of experience and passion for construction and engineering to work helping Allan Myers further develop and enhance our Alternative Delivery Group?Allan Myers is excited to announce an internal opportunity for the role of Alternative Delivery Engineer to work within our Alternative Delivery Group performing leadership and management functions to advance our portfolio of successful and award-winning transportation infrastructure project throughout Myers footprint.This position is ideal for candidates with hands on engineering and construction operations / management experience, proven leadership, facilitation, and collaboration skills, an interest in working within a Team focused on progressing our reputation and success within the alternative delivery space, and collaborating with our design partners, construction teams, and clients to advance the design and construction of our alternative delivery projects.Key ResponsibilitiesUnderstand and maintain a working knowledge of all project Technical Requirements and how they apply to the procurement, design, and construction of a specific project.Perform technical writing to support the development of qualification packages, proposals, and pre-construction submittals that contribute to Myers goal to win the war for work.Identify, evaluate, and quantify project risks and develop/track a project-wide risk register to manage risks throughout the life of the project to achieve project successActively work with Myers construction teams to perform constructability reviews and recommendations leading to more efficient design that align with Myers mission and vision.Impact and Growth This role offers a unique opportunity to directly influence the success of our Alternative Delivery initiative and develop projects that will leave footprints for years to come.Excellent opportunity to develop/enhance your leadership and collaboration skills through extensive interaction within Myers, Owners, Design Consultants, and subconsultants.Grow to actively manage all aspects of the selection, design, and construction process including business development, design oversight, estimating, and scheduling.Increased levels of responsibility and accountability will follow with the intent of becoming a key and valued team member.Commitment and Career Path Those currently serving in the Design Build Integrator role are seasoned professionals who continue to hone their skills and are long-tenured Allan Myers employees.
