You’ll be: Working closely with the local Plant Manager and central Procurement team to ensure Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost objectives are met Supporting the pellet plants through the planning and execution of fiber purchases for the assigned facility Fostering a data-driven approach to develop and sustain a low cost/high margin fiber supply strategy Supporting compliance with forest certification standards, lead role in internal and external audit processes Implementing purchasing process improvements to support business goals with emphasis on supplier management, supplier improvement, inventory management, and continuity of supply What you’ll bring: To excel in this vital role, you’ll need: Bachelors degree in Forestry or natural resources, supply chain management, business or related field or equivalent educational experience Advanced MS Office skills, specifically Excel; proficient with PowerPoint and Word Must be analytical and data-driven Ability to use statistical analysis tools a plus Experience with 3Log/Aldata, PowerBI, and GIS an advantage Superb attention to detail Project & time management skills are necessary High level of personal integrity and professionalism Key Accountabilities Be a proactive safety leader, creating a “Safety First” culture Manage weekly/monthly fiber inventory counts Perform tract audits Communicate with fiber suppliers Manage the execution of the fiber planAssist in the development of fiber plan and budget Management of 3LOG/LIMS sources and contracts, including settlement of load disputes and reconciliation of fiber receipts How we act at Drax: We care about what matters: We support each other to achieve important goals.
