Find out more about our company and culture here.The TRIMEDX Biomedical Engineering Apprenticeship program in partnership of AAMI and the Department of Labor, is designed to provide on-the-job healthcare technology management training to participants enrolled in the 24-month learning program. Apprentices will learn by shadowing experienced clinical experts, as well as academic instruction and certificate completion. Additionally, participants will be provided with learning opportunities from various web-based training curriculums, relevant industry seminars and in person trainings. Experiences will be vast and all-encompassing in an effort to maximize the program experience.ResponsibilitiesGain on the job training by shadowing experienced clinical leaders, biomedical technicians, lab technologists, and imaging engineers under the close supervision of TRIMEDX leadershipDevelop and apply key client relationship skills andUnderstand the typical day of an engineer and how to work in a hospital environmentRespond to service callsLearn how to balance workload, document repairs and PMs, vendor management, calibrate equipment, troubleshoot equipmentTrain on preventive maintenance procedures, electrical safety, and how to repair equipmentPerform preventative maintenance procedures, inventory validation, and work alongside experienced technicians in a real-time service environment.Must be able to pass pre-employment screening which will include a limited background check and screen for illegal substance use.All other duties as assigned.Skills and ExperienceBasic to intermediate computer skills with the ability to learn proprietary softwareBasic mechanical ability with common hand tool skillsBasic ability to extract information from technical publications and drawingsIntermediate organizational and planning skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsExcellent interpersonal and customer service skillsEducation and QualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalent (preferred)Driver’s License (Preferred)Excellent interpersonal and customer service skillsStrong written and verbal communication skillsMust be able to pass pre-employment screening which will include a limited background check and screen for illegal substance use.At TRIMEDX, we are committed to cultivating a workplace culture where every associate feels valued, supported, and empowered to thrive.
