ASCP Registered Dietitian (RD) - Nutritional Services

Join a dedicated healthcare team in the heart of the Midwest region, providing expert nutritional care and education to hospital patients. As a Registered Dietitian, you will evaluate, develop, and implement personalized nutrition plans, including order writing and parenteral/enteral nutrition support. You will also provide inpatient nutrition counseling, staff education, and intern precepting, while assisting with policy development and regulatory compliance.

Education

A Bachelor's degree in Nutrition is required.

Experience

One year of clinical dietetics experience is preferred.

Requirements

• Registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration and licensure as an RD in the state, or eligibility to register with the requirement to pass the registration exam within three months of hire.
• Strong mental ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Proficiency with computer use.
• Physical stamina for long periods of standing and walking.
• Excellent communication skills to teach and counsel patients on nutrition.
• Ability to measure and calculate nutritional data accurately.

Working Conditions

Work may involve exposure to infectious diseases, bodily fluids, heat, noise, wet floors, hot steam, chemicals, and sharp objects in food production areas. The environment can be busy and noisy, including patient rooms and nursing stations.
