Physician - Gynecology, Women's Health & Wellness Center - Grand Rapids, MI

Overview The Women Health Service Line at Corewell Health seeks a full-time Gynecologic Physician (Generalist or Minimally Invasive Gynecologist) to provide gynecologic services for patients in the Grand Rapids area, with a focus on midlife and menopause care. Responsibilities Provide outpatient gynecologic office access. Perform full spectrum surgery (robotic, laparoscopic, hysteroscopic; infrequent laparotomy) in outpatient, inpatient, and in-office settings. Unrestricted (back-up) Gyn call as needed. Collaborate academically with residents (32 OBGYN residents). Collaborate with a skilled team of physicians and advanced practice providers. Requirements to be Eligible Upon Hire Board Certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology (ABOG) Michigan licensure for MD or DO upon hire DEA registration in Michigan upon hire BLS certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross) within required timeframe ACLS certification if required by specialty or stress testing, within required timeframe Additional Opportunity Highlights Expected to perform both major and minor gynecologic surgeries and provide comprehensive medical management of gynecologic conditions. Multiple outpatient surgical centers and in-office procedures; possible same-day discharge program; surgeries may be performed at outpatient centers or Butterworth Hospital. Subspecialties available for patients including reproductive endocrinology & infertility, urogynecology, gynecologic oncology, and minimally invasive gynecologic surgery. Teaching of residents is expected. Phone call and hospital-based GYN coverage expected; frequency planned at 1 in 7 unrestricted back-up hospital calls with some weekend rounding when on call. Menopause certification through the Menopause Society required if not already certified. Additional Details Location: Grand Rapids, Michigan (Butterworth Hospital on the Medical Mile).
